Here you can view a journal of the various trials and tribulations Gerrit and I went through to bring you this website.
December 3, 2007
We have officially started our project. In class today Ms. Jansen showed us the databases and helped get started on our website. Gerrit and I discussed each others responiblities in this project and how for this project to workout we need to make sure we follow the gameplan. Gerrit is going to work on the timeline, and I will work on also, then we'll select the better one and put on the webpage. I'm also going to start working on new pages for the website.

I'm working on the website at home now. I'm not entirely sure my timeline is correct. We'll probably end up using Gerrit's. I created my notes page and my journal page. I also created an Animations Page and made links for these pages on the sidebar. I found a video that talks about Eco terrorists using oil-eating bacteria to destroy the world's supply of oil.

I showed the video from last night to Ms. Tucker. I think it is a good video so I'll put it on the animations page when I get home. Research here at bthe school is hard, because the internet too slow. I've looked at Encyclopedia Brittanica, Gale Group, & Net Trekker with hardly any leads. I'm going to search on United Streaming next.

I'm working at home now. I'm having a little difficutlty getting the video on to the Animations page. I'll try to get it on there again tommorow in class, but the internet will be slow. If I can get it on there I'll have to talk to Ms. Jansen. I found a few more leads so I'll check them out tommorow also. I discovered that Octobacterium anthropi is a type of oil- eating bacteria; again I'll check it out tommorow.

I found some pictures to put on the homepage. It takes to long for the page to save when you put pictures on it, because the internet is so slow, so I'll try again when I get home. I found a few more sources. One is an article writen by a college proffesor at Evergreen State College, and the other is by a science class at Stanford University. I need to get to the website addresses and put them on my notes page.

I'm working at home now so the pictures should be no problem. And they aren't. I'm still trying to get that video I mentioned yesterday. I really need to talk to Ms. Jansen about it. I also need to get the Free-web Evaluation forms for those two new sources. I'll look for more videos and sources tommorow.

Today I found an even better video that shows bioredmiediation and how it works. Ms. Tucker told us that we might get more results if we looked up bioremediation. So I looked it up and found this video. I'm going to try to get it on the Animations page or put a link to it on the Animations Page.

I'm working at home now so the video is moving faster but I'm having the same problems as I had on the other video. I still can't get it on the page. I don't know if I have to save it my hard drive first or not. I guess if I do that I might be able to import it to the webpage or not. I'll try again tommorow, using this idea, then I'll have to ask Ms. Jansen.
